Dr. Melissa Brooks

Dr. Melissa Brooks is an accomplished educator with a diverse academic background. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and Human Resource Management and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Public Administration. Additionally, Dr. Brooks holds a dual bachelor’s degree in social work and sociology and an associate of arts degree in art.

Dr. Brooks holds a DBA in Business Administration and Human Resources, a Master’s of Science in Human Resources Management, a Master’s of Science in Public Administration with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management, a dual Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Sociology and an Associate of Arts degree in Art. Professor Brooks has held administrative positions such as Campus Director, Dean, Associate Dean, Faculty, Career Counselor, Accreditation and Compliance Coordinator, and Recruiter & Advisor. Professor Brooks has taught courses in general education and business administration, public administration, human resources, leadership, marketing, and management at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

Professor Dr. Brooks has created curricula for all levels of Business Administration and taught at all levels of Business. Beyond academia, Dr Brooks is an avid traveller and adventurer, having moved 84 times and calling Florida home since 2000. She enjoys snorkeling, saltwater fishing, and interior decorating. Dr. Brooks is married to a U.S. Navy CWO3 stationed in Jacksonville, Florida.
