Luis Felipe Polo (Peru, 1964). President of the Institute of Innovation and Human Development (INHUDINS). Ph.D. in Theology, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Laws. Additional education in management, international financial analysis, and human resources from Michigan Business School, Harvard Business School, and INCAE Business School. Certifications in “Advanced Conflict Assessment” (ACA) and “Gender and Conflict” from USAID. Visiting scholar at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. Expert in human rights, immigration rights, international relations, mediation and conflict resolution, education, and community relations. Author of books, essays, and articles. Prestigious awards: Honoris Causa Doctorates from the Continental University in Peru and FINTES in Mexico. “L’Ordre des Palmes Académiques” from the Government of France, the “Defender of Human Rights of Latin America” Award from the Congress of Ecuador, and the “Rose of Peace” Award from the Government of Guatemala. Rector of the Quetzaltenango Campus, Director of Projects and International Cooperation and Executive Director of the Legal Research Institute of the Rafael Landívar University. Executive Director of the Project “Latin American Network of Education and Research in Human Rights” between AUSJAL and the York University of Canada. In addition, he held positions in international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the United Nations Organization, and the Andean Commission of Jurists. He was a consultant for the Organization of American States, UNICEF, UNDP, IIDH, GTZ, International IDEA, LCHR, HRW, among others.
