Standard English Proficiency Tests

Windsor University requires students to demonstrate a minimum proficiency in English that meets or exceeds the standards of recognized English language tests to be successful in a rigorous academic environment. If you are not a citizen of one of the exempt nations, you will be asked to submit results from an English language proficiency test taken within the last two years as proof of English proficiency.

If you are a citizen/national of one of the following nations, you will be exempt from this requirement.

Even though you can provide scores for any of those tests, Windsor University recommends the Duolingo English test. It is the most convenient for its affordable cost, manner of completion and the short time it takes to receive your scores successfully.
