Business Law and Ethics Course

Course Description:

In our Business Law and Ethics course, students will receive a practical and concise introduction to the dynamic field of business law. Covering both traditional and emerging areas of law, such as contracts, property, e-commerce, and environmental law, the eleventh edition offers updated content and enhanced support materials.

The objective of the course is to provide ease of understanding, teaching, assessment, and use. It’s designed for those seeking a fundamental overview of concepts and principles crucial to understanding business law. With short, informative chapters, the program captures the essence of each topic, making it accessible and engaging for students.

Additionally, students will delve into topics focused on Business Ethics and Business Law. In the Business Ethics course, students will explore the spatial relation of moral values within individual and organizational effectiveness. Through case studies, role-playing, and experiential exercises, students will develop ethical reasoning and examine the interaction of ethical judgment using various models of management ethics. They’ll tackle topics such as personal and organizational ethics, moral issues on a global scale, business influence on government and politics, and the relationship between business and employees.

Students will gain foundational knowledge of the U.S. legal system and its impact on business. Covering general principles of law, contracts, torts, agency law, and more, students will learn to differentiate between business ethics and legal issues. By the end of the course, students should be able to describe the U.S. legal system, outline relevant legal terms, and understand basic principles of law as they apply to business transactions. They’ll also examine current laws and regulations related to resolving business disputes.
