About Us – Windsor University

Windsor University is an American online institution licensed by the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC) of The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), based in Washington, DC. We aim to provide top-tier online education that’s both affordable and accessible to students worldwide.

Our academic programs are designed to meet global demand for high-quality education, blending traditional academic rigor with the flexibility of online learning. We strive to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in today’s highly competitive job market, using cutting-edge technology and comprehensive support from expert faculty.

History and Accreditation

Windsor University was initially conceptualized in 2016 to meet the growing demand for online education that is both high in quality and accessible to a global audience. Our institution was officially established in 2017 under the name Windsor LLC, and on October 23, 2018, we became licensed in Washington, DC. The trade name Windsor University was adopted in 2019, and shortly after, we began offering free courses through our Learning Management System (LMS) to make education even more accessible.

By August 5, 2021, Windsor University obtained its Provisional Post-Secondary Education License from the Higher Education Licensure Commission (HELC). Our license was renewed on October 6, 2022, solidifying our commitment to providing credible and accredited academic programs.
