My name is Joseph Scalzo. I hold a Ph.D. in History from the University of Rochester and an M.A. in History from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. I have taught online history courses for National University for over 17 years and have taught at Empire State College, Excelsior College, and American Public University I have taught surveys of world, American, and European history online, but also courses such as historiography, globalization, American women’s history, American business history, the history of science and technology in the Western world, Revolutionary America, the Founding Fathers, and American National Government, and graduate-level courses on Ancient Greece and Republican and Imperial Rome, and the Renaissance and Reformation among others.
