How to Apply and When We Decide

  1. Complete the online application at app.windsoruniversity.us and choose your preferred intake. You can change the intake later without applying again, as long as your information and documents stay the same.
  2. Upload all required documents. If anything is missing, Student Affairs emails you.
  3. Pay the application fee through the University's payment portal: $35 for the MBA programs, $20 for a career diploma and $10 for ESL. The Refund Policy states when the fee is refunded.

The MBA programs have five intakes a year: January, March, June, August and October. Windsor University confirms receipt of each complete application within 3 working days. A complete application includes all required documents. The Admissions Office tells the applicant its decision within one week after receiving the complete application. Applicants who are not accepted receive the reasons in writing and guidance on reapplying.

False or misleading information or documents lead to the rejection of the application. If they come to light after admission, they lead to dismissal from the University.

Technical Readiness Check

Windsor University delivers its online learning through the Moodle Student Portal and Microsoft Teams. Before enrollment, every applicant completes a Technical Readiness Check in a short video meeting with University staff after submitting the application. The same meeting confirms the applicant's identity. Staff check that you can use:

  • a computer or tablet and a current web browser that work with the Moodle Student Portal;
  • an internet connection that supports live video sessions;
  • a working camera and microphone, and Microsoft Teams;
  • a sample course on the Moodle Student Portal.

You are not fully enrolled, and you may not start classes, until the check is complete. If a requirement is not met, the University tells you in writing which one, and you may repeat the check after you correct it. Applicants with disabilities may ask for reasonable accommodation by writing to [email protected]. The University keeps the result of the check in your admission file for five years.

6

Technical Requirements

You need a computer or tablet with a current web browser, a stable internet connection, a camera, a microphone and an email account. The University gives each student a Microsoft 365 account, which includes Outlook for email and Microsoft Teams for live sessions. Students use the Moodle Student Portal to view courses, submit work and see grades. For help with logging in, write to [email protected].

7

Enrollment

Accepted applicants receive the Enrollment Agreement by email, together with the current Student Catalog, which they can review before signing. The applicant signs the Enrollment Agreement and sends it back within 21 days from the date the University sends it. On enrollment, students receive a unique username and password for the Moodle Student Portal, the digital library and the University's other online services. Students keep their login details private.

8

Identity Verification

Windsor University confirms that the student who registers for a program is the student who takes the courses and receives the credential, in three stages:

  • When applying: each applicant sends a government-issued photo ID with the application and confirms their identity in a short video meeting with University staff.
  • During the program: each student signs in to the University's portal with a unique username and password. Login details are personal and must not be shared with anyone.
  • At graduation: before the University issues a certificate, the graduate confirms their identity in a short video meeting with University staff, and the University compares the graduate with the photo ID on file.

The University does not charge any fee to verify identity. If a charge is introduced, the University will tell students at registration or enrollment. Student information is protected as described in the Student Records policy.

9

Transfer Credit and Prior Learning

Applicants to the MBA programs can ask for credit for graduate courses, ACE credit, an edX MicroMasters program or documented work and military experience when you apply. See Credit Transfer, Prior Learning Experience and the full Transfer of Credit and Prior Learning Experience Policy.
