Windsor University Scholarship Based on Academic Performance

MBA Programs

Windsor University seeks students with strong academic qualifications and also encourages every student to continue improving throughout the Windsor University learning platform.

For the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Windsor University accepts applicants whose academic record is equivalent to a U.S. GPA between 2.0 and 4.0, or the American equivalent, or a comparable international grading system. Based on the applicant’s GPA or equivalent academic standing, eligible students may receive a tuition discount in the form of a scholarship.

This scholarship policy applies to the following MBA study options:

  • Online MBA – 12-Month Track
  • Online MBA – 20-Month Track
  • In-Person MBA / Hybrid Study Mode

1. Minimum Academic Requirement

Applicants with a GPA below 2.0, or the equivalent, are not eligible for admission to the MBA program.

2. Online MBA Scholarship Rates

For the Online MBA programs, the standard tuition rate is $100 per credit hour.

Scholarship discounts are awarded as follows:

  • GPA 2.00 to 2.40: 10% scholarship — Tuition after scholarship: $90 per credit hour

3. In-Person MBA / Hybrid Study Mode Scholarship Rates

For the In-Person MBA / Hybrid study mode, the standard tuition rate is $300 per credit hour.

Scholarship discounts are awarded as follows:

  • GPA 2.00 to 2.40: 10% scholarship — Tuition after scholarship: $270 per credit hour
  • GPA 2.41 to 2.80: 20% scholarship — Tuition after scholarship: $240 per credit hour
  • GPA 2.81 to 3.20: 30% scholarship — Tuition after scholarship: $210 per credit hour

  • GPA 3.61 to 4.00: 50% scholarship — Tuition after scholarship: $150 per credit hour

4. English Proficiency Requirement for Scholarship

In all cases, students must meet Windsor University’s English proficiency requirement in order to receive the scholarship.

Applicants must submit an official Duolingo English Test (DET) score of 90 or higher, unless they qualify for an approved English waiver under Windsor University policy. Windsor’s public DET guidance states that applicants may practice free Duolingo tests multiple times, Windsor requires an official 90+ score, and the official DET currently costs $70.

If a student does not yet reach the required score, Windsor University may help the student improve through its English support resources and preparatory course. Windsor’s published DET course is specifically described as a course for applicants seeking to achieve a score of 90 or higher.

For guidance, applicants may review the following Windsor University pages:

5. Students Who Do Not Yet Have the Official DET Score

A student may still apply for admission and may begin the admission process before receiving the official DET certificate. Once the official qualifying score is submitted, Windsor University may review the student’s eligibility for the scholarship in accordance with university policy.

6. Applicants Whose Transcript Does Not Show a GPA

If the applicant’s transcript does not show a GPA, but instead shows descriptive grades such as Pass, Good, Very Good, or Excellent, the student has two options:

Option 1:

Students can apply through any of the 18 entities under NACES to evaluate their grades as an American GPA equivalent, based on their preference. Choose the option that best fits their needs. They have 18 accredited evaluation bodies.

You may obtain an official U.S. equivalency evaluation through a recognized evaluation service such as: IEE or WES

Option 2:

The student may submit the transcript directly to Windsor University, and Windsor University admission team may review the transcript through its admissions system and provide an estimated equivalent GPA within 24 hours for internal admissions and scholarship review.

Because international grading systems may vary by institution, IEE, WES, or others publicly notes that its GPA calculator is informational only and that a customized scale may be needed when an institution uses a different grading system.

Student Support

Windsor University is committed to supporting each student both academically and professionally. Prospective applicants are encouraged to Read Student Reviews to learn more about the support and experience offered throughout their studies.

Then submit your transcript and supporting documents, and we will evaluate your eligibility and award a scholarship based on your GPA.
