Eligibility Criteria:

  • Five years of experience in the Hospitality or Tourism fields, coupled with proficiency in English, grants you access to this program.
  • No proof of 5 years experience is required if you hold a Hospitality postsecondary degree.

Required Documentation:

  • Valid passport with at least two years of validity.
  • Proof of 5 years’ experience in Hospitality (or graduation from a Hospitality program).
  • Proficiency in English to ace the interviews.
  • A well-crafted resume.
  • Certificate and transcript

Benefits:

  • Refunds for withdrawal after placement is confirmed: If you withdraw from the program after placement is approved, you will be entitled to a refund of the program fee minus a $995 administrative fee.
  • Refunds for withdrawal after issuance of Form DS-7002: If you withdraw from the program after the issuance of Form DS-7002, you will not be entitled to any refund.
  • Refunds for visa denial: If your visa is denied, you will be entitled to a refund of the program fee minus a $995 administrative fee.
  • Refunds for delays at the US Embassy/Consulate: ITN is not responsible for any delays at the US Embassy/Consulate level.
  • Refunds for cancellation by the Host Company: ITN will try to relocate you with another Host Company if the Host Company cancels your placement. Suppose you decline another interview or withdraw from the program after being placed with another Host Company. In that case, you will be entitled to a refund of the program fee minus a $995 administrative fee.
  • Refunds for cancellation by the Sponsor Organization: If the Sponsor Organization cancels the program before the start date, ITN will try to relocate you to another Host Company. Suppose you decline another interview or withdraw from the program after being placed with another Host Company. In that case, you will be entitled to a refund of the program fee minus a $995 administrative fee.
  • Refunds for cancellation after arrival in the United States: If you withdraw from the program or cannot continue the program after arrival in the US, you will not be entitled to any refund.
  • Refunds for overstay: If you fail to disclose that an immediate family member is in the United States illegally, you will not be entitled to a refund if you are denied a visa.

Yes. Your program can be extended for an additional fee. If you are a hospitality intern/trainee, the maximum program duration is 12 months. If you are a business intern/trainee, the maximum program duration is 18 months.

As each case is different, your profile will have to be reviewed by an ITN representative who will let you know whether you are eligible to start a second J-1 program.

You may stay in the country for 30 days after your program ends. However, when the 30-day grace period ends, you will have to return to your home country.

Several of our properties provide housing or housing assistance. ITN can provide access to our housing partners for assistance if housing is not provided.
