Ola Atia’s Successful Journey with Windsor University

A learner story of growth, confidence, professional development, and personal transformation through Windsor University’s MBA program.

1. Can you start by introducing yourself?

My name is Ola Atia. I live in Ohio, United States, and I am a mother of 5 beautiful children and a grandma as well. I am an Egyptian American professional specializing in Education and Psychology. I am a dedicated and resourceful educator with over 30 years of experience in teaching, assessment, mental health services, and lately addiction counseling.

2. What is your current role, and how has the Windsor University program contributed to your skills, career growth, and personal development?

I currently serve as a Mental Health Specialist and Addiction Counselor. My studies at Windsor University have significantly broadened my understanding of business principles and enhanced my ability to analyze markets, assess opportunities, and navigate the economic landscape in the United States.

The MBA program helps me grow in my personal and professional life. Personally, it builds my confidence, helps me think better, and teaches me how to solve problems in a smart way. Professionally, the program teaches me important skills in management, leadership, finance, and planning.

3. How do you think this MBA will support your future goals or plans?

I have always believed in the power of education. This MBA is my third master’s degree, in addition to my PhD in Mental Health. I am confident that this program will give me the skills and knowledge to turn my ideas into a genuine business and achieve my future goals.

4. Would you recommend this program to your friends, family, or colleagues, and why?

Absolutely yes. The program is affordable, comprehensive, and flexible. The entire team is supportive, always ready to answer questions, address concerns, and help students overcome challenges. Now in my fourth semester at Windsor University, I truly feel like part of a family.

5. Do you have any suggestions on how we could improve the program for future students?

Yes, I have a few suggestions. Encourage instructors to post questions on the screen or in the chat, include more interactive activities, and encourage students at the end of each course to apply what they learned to their business ideas and submit short reflections.
