Dr. Lalanya Fair

Dr. LaLanya Fair has over 23 years of experience as a security operations director in the federal government. During this time, Dr. Fair has had the opportunity to facilitate business management, security operations, threat mitigation, and leadership development courses for federal employees. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the learning journey. Working at the Department of Homeland Security has allowed her to develop and implement security policies, manage large security teams, and conduct vulnerability assessments to safeguard critical infrastructure. Dr. Fair is currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at Central State University and American Public University Systems for four years. She teaches courses in Business Communication, Finance, International Business, Leadership Theory, Organizational Behavior, Government Regulations in Business, and Micro and Macroeconomics at CSU. Additionally, she has taught Homeland Security and Defense, Domestic Terrorism and Extremist Groups, Homeland Security Legal and Ethical issues, Privacy & Civil Liberties in Homeland Security, and the Homeland Security Capstone at APUS. Dr. Fair’s passion lies in teaching and developing individuals to help them meet their educational goals and advance into leadership positions. Dr. Fair holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Homeland Security Leadership and Policy from Northcentral University, an MS in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security from Tiffin University, and a BS in Business and Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
